This position will be responsible for leveraging their technical expertise to support the company’s multi-tiered client/server-based infrastructure and desktops running on Intel/Windows server, Citrix Virtualization and desktop platforms. This position will provide best in class customer service to company’s business and IT application/hardware users and ensure support calls are tracked, managed, and resolved according to established service level expectations. Works closely with project and support staff to proactively define and personally implement support processes, escalation paths, and performance metric reporting. This position requires the ability to work independently, and participate in the maintenance of standards, policies, procedures, and documentation regarding server/desktop build processes, security, and disaster recovery. The person in this role will respond to incidents specific to the group’s applications/hardware and resolve or coordinate the resolution of the incident with IT staff or other application owners. This is a senior level position, and as such this person will take a lead role in ensuring day-to-day operation of the servers/desktops, applications and equipment. Will be responsible for participating as a subject matter expert in the architectural planning, and design of company’s multi-tier server platforms, desktop imaging and planning, and the delivery of these systems to support business initiatives. Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to regulatory compliance standards. Performs other related duties as assigned.
College Education (BS or AAS) in Computer Science or related field and/or or equivalent relevant experience required
5+ years’ experience in an IT infrastructure Support and/or Analyst function
Knowledge of Windows Server/Desktop operating systems & Citrix including installing, configuring and supporting Intel based servers
Experience in deploying and supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure preferred
5+ years supporting in a complex or multi-tier enterprise infrastructure.
In depth knowledge of Active Directory, file permissions and security
In depth knowledge of Windows 2008+ Server, Windows 7/10 with Active Directory User and Group Management.
In depth knowledge of Citrix infrastructure, design, implementation and support.
An understanding of SQL Database Servers (Sybase, SQL Server and Oracle Preferred) and their front-end applications in a client server environment.
Must have the ability to interact effectively with clients and IT personnel.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
Strong organizational, problem solving, and detail orientation skills.
Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure, and the ability to meet required deadlines.
Reliable transportation and ability to work on-call and after hours as necessary.
Current MCSE, MCSD or MCPD
Experience with SAN storage technologies strongly preferred.
Experience with Facets Application server from a technical operation perspective, a plus, but not required.
Working knowledge of HP System Insight Manager & Cisco UCS.
Experience with HP blade & Cisco UCS servers.
Experience with Microsoft Azure.
